Plan an EV trip

Review suggested places. Choose your stops. Make the journey yours.

01 · Describe the trip

Choose electric car mode and enter the start and destination. Tell HEYHEY your preferred distance between charging stops and any towns you need to visit.

02 · Compare charging options

Review proposed charging places and their position along the route. Consider detour distance, nearby food or facilities, and where you want to take a longer break.

03 · Check before you charge

Confirm connector compatibility, charging power, current status, prices and payment access with the charging operator. Then add your preferred stop and review the route.

Make the charging plan fit your car

A distance interval is a planning preference, not a guarantee of remaining battery. Tell HEYHEY if you prefer frequent short breaks or a longer stop near lunch. Leave a comfortable margin and keep a backup charging option in mind. Your car’s range, weather and driving conditions can change what is practical on the day.

Plan an electric car journey from Helsinki to Turku. Search for charging options roughly every 150 km and places to eat near the charging stops. Show a shortlist first. I will verify connector compatibility and live availability before choosing a charger.

Your EV departure checklist

  • Use your car’s estimated usable range and battery level to choose a comfortable charging interval.
  • Verify connector type, power, access hours and payment method in the operator’s app.
  • Check current charger availability and have an alternative nearby.
  • Review conditions and your car’s battery estimate during the journey; suggested stops are not live battery-aware routing.

Questions before you go

Does HEYHEY guarantee that a charger is available?

No. A suggested charging place is not a reservation or confirmation of a working, free charger. Check the operator’s live information before relying on it.

Can charging stops include food or activities?

You can ask for restaurants, sights or other useful stops near the route. Review the suggestions and decide which places to add.

Will the route know my exact battery level?

Do not assume it does. The planning workflow uses the details and charging interval you provide. Keep using your car’s battery and range information when making charging decisions.
